Washboards

A family member found these two old washboards which I cleaned up, painted and re-purposed. One now holds keys, dog leashes, etc., and the other is a photo gallery.

Magazine Rack

I think this old country tote box with heart cutouts for handles is just perfect for magazines, extra towels, toilet paper, anything really. It's one of my favorite pieces. It was rather homely when I found it, so you know what I had to do. :)

Hot Seat

Thought it might be fun to show the before and after on this piece. I bargained for this old school library chair (chewing gum was included). First step was to powerwash, repair, and coat with a white base. Then I had fun creating a wood and metallic-like finish. I call it the Hot Seat. Hope you like it.

Cigar Box

We took a brand new cigar box (no, we didn't go to Cuba) and we aged it to perfection. The metallic-look design is hand-painted. Perfect for hiding your smokes, or other secret stashes. Enjoy.

Trinket Box

There are probably 101 uses for this purple and green trinket box. We filled ours with potpourri! Now it looks pretty and smells good too. Hand-painted in our familiar harlequin style. All works are original and signed by artist. Enjoy.

Checkerboard Table

This occasional table was confiscated from a high-school shop class. We're not sure our colorful checkerboard pattern is what the teacher had in mind, but we hope you'll give it an A+! Handpainted and finished with clear gloss.

Bug Vase

This rusted tin vase was from way back in who knows when. We rescued it, hand-painted it with bugs, and then gave it a nice opalescent lacquer. Perfect for a bouquet of your favorite silk arrangement, and no pesticide required! To be sold.

Ocean View

My friend Judy Stansfield Fischer gave me this cool vintage window for a project. Little did she know she was going to get it back! I gave her an Ocean View, to remind her of some of her favorite vacations. And I'm looking forward to re-purposing more old, odd items. Stay tuned!
